About the Role

We have a current opportunity for Team Leaders to join us working an inclusive team environment within the Site Infrastructure team in Port Hedland.

You will contribute extensively to the effective day to day operations and will be an innovative thinker with a strong head for business and budget management, experience in a similar role is essential we are looking for a people leader who considers the big picture and bring their perspective to our operations. Conducting all task in safest manner possible in line with BHP Charter Values, BHP Policies/ Procedures, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations.

Reporting to the Site Infrastructure supervisor your duties will include:

Demonstrate in-depth understanding of Catastrophic Risk Management (CRM) and ensure controls are in place, including the verification of all Safe Work Procedures
As a S26 statutory Appointed Person, you are required to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Mine Safety and Inspection Act and Mines Safety Inspection Regulations in accordance with your appointment
Ensure operational discipline in 1SAP Work Management practices.
Assist in delivering planned maintenance to drive a safe and reliable plant
Continuous improvement of systems and processes are core priorities to enable effectiveness and efficiency
Asist the Site infrastructure Supervisor to coach and mentor team members to deliver on plan and build a high performing team
Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development

About You

To be successful for the Team Leader roles you will have the following:

Electrical Trade qualification & WA A Grade Licence
Have a proven track record of safety management
Working knowledge of Mine Safety & Inspection Act & Regulations
Have previous experience leading a small team
S26 Electrical statutory Appointment, experience or have the ability to obtain
Has great communication and relationship management skills
Has a high skill level in 1SAP Work Management processes, Microsoft Suites
Minimum of C class manual driver’s license
