An opportunity is now available for an Endpoint Device Lead to join our team to manage the lifecycle of Uni SQ endpoint devices from a software perspective, ensuring efficiency, sustainability, and delivering an exceptional user experience across the University.

Who you are

You’re a proactive ICT professional with a passion for improving the end-user experience and optimising ICT environments. You’re also collaborative with strong communication skills and a problem-solving mindset.

What you'll do

You will oversee the entire lifecycle of Uni SQ endpoint devices from a software perspective, ensuring optimal performance, security and sustainability. You will work closely with the Proactive Services Manager and Asset Management Lead to coordinate the efforts of a small team of specialists who will focus on proactive service delivery across all ICT systems and processes.

Your initial key priorities will include:

• Working with current ICT team members to evaluate and optimise a future SOE for Uni SQ, including Windows 11 and Mac operating systems.
• Identifying avenues for improvement with management and deployment of Uni SQ Computer Labs, focusing on optimisation, utilisation and metrics to inform future decisions.
• Taking a lead role in evaluating the RDP Lab and Turbo virtual lab solutions, focusing on resilience, reporting and maximising utilisation for our staff and student cohort.

What will help you succeed

Together with your relevant computing qualification, you will have proven experience in the provision of hardware and software support services in a large organisation. You will also have:

• Proven experience in the planning, design, deployment and updating of a Windows and Mac SOE or MOE in a large organisation.
• Expertise with deployment tools such as Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Configuration Manager, Jamf, and Power Shell.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage stakeholders, manage projects, and implement process improvements.

Term: Full-time continuing appointment (36 hours/week)

Salary: Total remuneration range $129,036 to $148,172 pa (includes salary range of $109,029 to $125,198 pa, employer super contributions of 17% and annual leave loading)
