About the Company:
We are experienced and specialized in the field of metalwork engineering, particularly in the fabrication and installation of balustrades, handrails, swimming pool fences, bollards, fencing, and gates. We specialize in customized work, allowing our product range to be expanded upon at every opportunity.
Job Summary:
This person will be responsible for competitively pricing and negotiating for the best value projects (predominantly residential) in Sydney, creating and pricing off Bill of Quantities, and completing take-offs and markups from drawing/plans.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Pricing from first principles. (Material costs, fixings costs, processing costs, fabrication costs, installation costs, supervision/management costs, engineering costs etc).- Read and complete Take Offs and markups from drawings/plans.
- Create and/or price off Bill of Quantities.
- Communicate with all stakeholders - Builders, Site Team, Architects & suppliers, prior to and during the pre-tender stage, post-tender stage, contract negotiation
- Generate leads and create opportunities.
- Work with the operations management team during the fabrication, supply, and installation process.
Skills & Experience required:
- At least 1 year of experience in estimating for balustrades, handrails, fencing, and other relevant metalworks.
- Proven success preparing "first principle” estimates for high value and high-profile projects in residential and/or commercial $2,000- $1,000,000 Balustrade and metalwork packages.
- Has built established relationships with builders and suppliers.
- Cost planning experience
- Detailed portfolio and references. (References will not be contacted without prior permission from candidates)
- Proficient Microsoft Excel skills

8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday-Friday
