: Food Manufacturing / Food Handling Specialist

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Supervise and assist in food handling, preparation, and packaging, ensuring products meet company quality standards.
- Utilize kitchen management experience to optimize food production processes, ensuring efficiency and consistency.
- Ensure all food safety regulations and hygiene practices are strictly followed, including proper storage, handling, and sanitation of food products.
- Lead a team of food handlers, providing guidance, training, and support to maintain a productive and positive work environment.
- Oversee inventory control, including the proper storage of ingredients and materials, and assist with stock rotation.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions as needed to meet production goals.
- Conduct quality assurance checks throughout the production process, addressing any issues to maintain product consistency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety regulations, and health codes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in kitchen management or food production in a commercial setting; assistant management experience also welcome.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
- Experience managing and training kitchen or production staff.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities to motivate and guide a team.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills (e.g., inventory management software, MS Office).
- Flexibility to work varying shifts.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with food manufacturing processes or equipment.
- Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a food production environmen

Job Type: Casual
Pay: $24.20 – $32.06 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 35 per week
