The Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Food Safety and Quality Manager to be based at our Perth site. This role will be the ambassador and lead for Food Safety and Quality as well as any other additional culture that surrounds it. This role is the primary conjugate between site and Group food safety and quality. This role will be varied in nature, reporting to the Head of Food Safety & Quality Manager, your main duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to;
- Promote quality achievement and performance improvement through the organisation
- Prepare quality focused reports
- Increase business profitability and growth through strategic quality and good safety initiatives
- Ensure New Product Development is incorporated into site quality and safety programs
- Review, assess and introduce change for improvement of processes
- Challenge important issues constructively and provide appropriate advice
- Develop and implement food safety & quality programs based on BRC as well as industry and global best practice
- Set clear targets, objectives and KPIs for the team in line with group strategies
- Other ad hoc duties as per directed
To be successful in this role you will have demonstrated experience in Quality Assurance Management, ideally within the food FMCG space as well as;
- Have strong communication skills both verbal and written
- High level of attention to detail ensuring accuracy
- Be able to prioritise workloads and make informed decisions
- Strong quality focus and strive for quality results
- Internal auditing experience
- Proficient use of the Microsoft Suite and computer programs (Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Be able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders while leading from the front
- 10+ years FMCG experience including Food Safety & Quality Management
- Relevant training in Food Safety & Quality Assurance
