Due to continued growth, we're seeking a experienced and reliable Forklift Driver to join our Truganina team, Monday to Friday so you can enjoy your weekends.
In this full-time, permanent role, you’ll help load and unload local and interstate freight in bound and outbound freight on flatbed trailers and tautliners, using your expertise to secure unconventional loads with multiple restraint types. If you’ve got at least 2 years of "Ugly Freight" experience and a passion for safety and customer service, we want to hear from you. Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a busy transport depot,
- Experience specifically handling general "ugly" freight essential
- Must hold a current Forklift License.
- Experience loading and unloading inbound and outbound freight.
- Proficient in securing loads using various load restraints, familiarity with dangerous goods is desirable.
- Excellent "Can-do" attitude with flexibility and adaptability. strong work ethic, and reliability are essential.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and OH&S protocols.
- Physically fit, as the role involves some manual lifting and willing to help off machine as required
- Willingness to undergo a pre-employment medical examination, police check, and provide a recent work reference.
- Load and unload inbound and outbound freight in trailers and tautliners efficiently.
- Load, unload, and move freight, ensuring proper restraint and secure storage.
- Handle freight with care to prevent damage during the loading and unloading process.
- Conduct thorough checks on load restraints, packaging, and the overall condition of freight before transport.
- Promptly report any damages to freight or forklift equipment to your supervisor.
- Commit to a full-time Monday to Friday day shift, with opportunities for overtime.
