We have a flexible position for a Podiatrist to help with Homecare package clients in Greater Melbourne and surrounds - NO NDIS/ NO TAC/ NO WORKCOVER patients.
A little about Us:
Our team is made up of Physiotherapists, Myotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Allied Health Assistants and we are growing our offerings to include Podiatry. We are growing rapidly with referrals from many Aged Care Services. We act as an intermediary, providing referrals and managing the overall relationship with the Aged Care Services for our clients and therapists.
We are owned and operated by a Physiotherapist who understands the demands of the role, and we work as a multidisciplinary team who are passionate professionals. We strive to keep our clients safe, independent, and living comfortably in their homes, avoiding the need for residential aged care facilities.
Your Role:
You will be sent a referral to meet with a client, if you accept the referral you'll then schedule an appointment at your mutual convenience (including weekends if you wish).
Examples of referrals include:

• Assessments in clients' homes to complete general nail care for issues such as treating fungal nail infections and ingrown nails, cracked heels, corns, and bunions.
• Assess GAIT disorders.
• Assistance with restoring and maintaining mobility for day-to-day tasks.

Within the appointments you would:

• Chat to the client to understand their concerns, goals or aims of treatment.
• Perform any physical assessments required.
• Perform any required treatments or refer to our team for any extra support such as fall prevention programs.

Appointments are often ongoing. You will enjoy building relationships with the clients over a long period of time. These clients really enjoy your company and expertise so job satisfaction is one of the perks. Clients are generally aligned to therapists area of work (within a 15-20 minute drive at most) any opportunities outside this area would be by discussion only.
Competitive pay: You will be paid $132.5 per client for the initial appointment (max 60 minute assessment and report writing). If follow-up appointments are required, you will be paid $82.50 for 30 mins. If you are able to demonstrate positive interactions with the clients, your number of referrals will increase, so you can see as many or as little clients as you prefer.
Flexibility: on average we can offer 40 referrals per month across the team, so you can take on as much or as little work as suits your schedule and work the hours / days that suit you. (No minimum requirement).
Autonomy: manage your own schedule and diary to accommodate your calendar and any other work commitments you may have.
Support: Referrals are provided via email with a Practice Manager available on the phone for support as required and to manage the homecare admin between yourself and the client.
What we require:

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Provide timely reports and/or source quotes for orthotics, splints etc.
• Degree qualification in Podiatry with AHPRA Podiatry Board of Australia registration.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• A minimum one year experience. (Recent graduates will be considered please call us to discuss).
• Own tools and equipment to perform diagnosis and treatment.
• Full drivers licence and own roadworthy vehicle.
• Valid First Aid Certificate.
• Professional Indemnity Insurance.

You will be paid every 2 weeks as a contractor so you will need an ABN.
