The Opportunity
We are looking for a Hospital Pharmacist-in-charge to lead our pharmacy team based at the Forster Private Hospital in Forster, NSW. You will provide clinical pharmacy services to inpatients and assist in our dispensary ensuring that all pharmacy activities are completed to a high standard while supporting the quality use of medicines.
This is the perfect opportunity if you are looking for better work-life balance in your pharmacy career as we are offering the choice of either part-time OR full-time employment, additionally, we do not require you to work on weekends.
Part-time: 4-day workweek (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday) OR Full-time: Monday to Friday
Shift hours: 07:30AM-03:30PM – great work life balance!
Forster Private Hospital offers accommodation for 69 medical/surgical patients, 2 Operating Theatres, a Day Surgery Unit, Oncology Unit, Inpatient Rehabilitation, Day Therapy Programs and a Hydrotherapy Pool. Radiology and pathology services are available onsite.
About the Role
- Ensure pharmacy operations meet legal and safety standards.
- Oversee procurement, storage, and distribution of medications.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient medication therapy.
- Manage and train pharmacy staff, ensuring adherence to policies.
- Implement programs to improve safety and reduce medication errors.
- Oversee pharmacy budget, purchasing, and financial performance.
- Create and update pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Act as a liaison with other hospital departments.
- Counsel patients on medication use and safety.
About You

Newly registered and community pharmacists are encouraged to apply, hospital pharmacy experience is not required as full training will be provided. Relocation assistance can be considered for eligible candidates.
We require that you:
- Are a current AHPRA registered pharmacist
- Strong knowledge of the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS)
