Role Overview:
As a Junior Sous Chef, you will assist our Head Chef in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the kitchen. You will be responsible for inventory management, supervising kitchen staff, and ensuring high-quality food preparation. This is a hands-on role, perfect for a motivated chef looking to grow their skills and take on leadership responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef with the daily management of the kitchen operations.
- Supervise and guide kitchen staff, ensuring consistency and high standards in food preparation and presentation.
- Oversee inventory management, including ordering and stock rotation, to ensure fresh and quality ingredients.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Contribute to menu planning and development, bringing fresh ideas and creativity to our offerings.
- Ensure food is prepared and served to specification, maintaining the highest quality and taste standards.
- Manage food costs and minimize waste through effective kitchen practices.
- Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a collaborative and professional kitchen atmosphere.
- Step in to cover Head Chef duties when required, demonstrating leadership and decision-making skills.
- Proven experience as a Junior Sous Chef, Chef de Partie, or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety standards, and culinary techniques.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Creative mindset with a passion for food and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
- Culinary qualification preferred but not essential.

Pay: $28.00 – $36.00 per hour
