About the Role
Responsible for leading development activities required to deliver technology solutions that meet the business needs. Leads and drives the Front-End engineering practice and standards. Estimates and carries out systems development work to time, budget and quality targets and in accordance with appropriate standards. Resolves technical development issues that may arise during the whole development lifecycle.

Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• Front-End Design & Implementation: Lead the design and development of scalable front-end solutions using React, establishing best practices and standards. Maintain a component library and design system to ensure consistency.
• Technical Leadership: Make critical technical decisions on frameworks and tools, manage technical discovery, and guide front-end architecture. Lead planning for major initiatives and mentor team members in front-end development.
• Quality & Testing: Implement and advocate for robust testing practices, ensure high standards, and support testing activities across development stages.
• Performance & Observability: Design front-end observability solutions, monitor key performance metrics, and implement error tracking.
• Collaboration & Compliance: Work closely with UX teams, uphold change control and version management, maintain security standards, and comply with information security protocols.

Leadership and Operational Excellence

• Lead efforts to enhance operational efficiency and standards, driving changes that increase productivity and business value.

Our Technology Stack

• General: CI/CD orchestration using Azure Dev Ops and AWS; source control via Bitbucket and Azure Dev Ops.
• Frontend: React, Java Script/Type Script,AEM, HTML5, CSS, Node.js.
• API Development: Mule Soft for APIs on AWS; AWS Lambda for backend support.

Experience & Qualifications

• 7+ years in software engineering with 5+ years in React; expertise in Java Script/ Type Script, design systems, and AWS services (Cloud Front, S3, Lambda).
• Skilled in web performance optimization, CI/ CD pipelines, accessibility, automated testing, and front-end observability.
• Knowledgeable in OWASP Top 10 security risks, agile methodologies, and front-end performance metrics.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Highly Regarded Skills

• Experience with static code analysis (e.g., Sonar Qube), server-side rendering, micro-frontends, and headless CMS.
• Familiarity with cloud security, AWS certification, and application profiling tools.
