Selection Criteria
1. Proven Leadership in Wellbeing and Engagement.Demonstrated success in leading whole-school wellbeing programs that foster a positive, inclusive culture and enhance student engagement through innovative strategies.
2. Experience in Respectful Relationships (RRRR):
Experience with the RRRR framework, embedding gender equality, respect, and inclusivity in school culture and curriculum. Skilled in leading professional development for staff on RRRR integration.
3. Experience in Student Voice and Leadership:
Proven ability to empower students in decision-making and lead student-led initiatives. Success in supporting student leadership teams and incorporating student voice in policies and practices.
4. Attendance Improvement and Data-Driven Practice:
Experience in developing strategies to improve attendance, using data analysis to drive targeted interventions and collaborating with staff to implement strategies.
5. Demonstrate exemplary interpersonal and leadership skills. Demonstrated ability to lead collaborative relationships with students, colleagues, parents and the broader school community focused on student learning, agency, wellbeing and engagement.
Role
The Leading Teacher for Engagement, Whole School Wellbeing, Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships (RRRR), Student Voice and Attendance is responsible for shaping and leading whole-school strategies that enhance student wellbeing, foster a positive, inclusive culture, and ensure that all students feel respected, engaged, and supported. This role integrates student voice into school decision-making processes, works to improve attendance, promotes respectful relationships, and oversees the whole school wellbeing program to support every students personal and academic growth.Responsibilities
- Oversee and continuously improve the whole school wellbeing program, ensuring it addresses students personal, social, and emotional development.
- Collaborate with year-level coordinators, wellbeing leaders, and Assistant Principals to ensure the program meets the holistic needs of all students.
- Lead professional learning sessions on whole school wellbeing principles and RRRR strategies to support students¿ emotional and social wellbeing.
- Student Engagement - Lead the innovation and development of strategies to enhance student engagement
- Oversee the school¿s implementation of the RRRR initiative, embedding principles of gender equality, inclusivity, and respect within the school culture and curriculum.
- Drive initiatives that empower students to actively shape their educational experiences and contribute to the school community.
- Support student leadership teams, ensuring their voices are reflected in school policies, programs, and cultural practices.
- Encourage student-led projects to foster ownership, responsibility, and leadership skills.
- Develop and manage strategies to improve attendance
- Regularly review and analyse attendance data to implement targeted interventions that increase attendance rates.
- Collaborate with external organisations and community providers to strengthen the whole school wellbeing program.
- Use data on student attendance, engagement, and wellbeing to inform decisions and drive improvements.

VIT LANTITE
To be eligible for employment, transfer or promotion in the principal or teacher class a person must have provisional or full registration from the Victorian Institute of Teaching. In addition, from 3 August 2020, to be eligible for employment in the principal class or teacher class, a person who graduated from a Victorian Initial Teacher Education program after 1 July 2016, must demonstrate that they have passed the literacy and numeracy test for initial teacher education (LANTITE) requirements. This condition is satisfied where the LANTITE requirement is part of the Victorian Initial Teacher Education program completed by the person.Location Profile
