Learning & Resource Coordinator

Pivotal to the academic excellence of our Sydney campus we are seeking a Learning and Resource Coordinator to foster academic success through a blend of resource management and tailored learning development, both online and in our Learning Hub.
The Learning and Resource Coordinator holds a dual role that encompasses both resource management and tailored learning development. As a resource management expert, you will curate and manage a comprehensive collection of print, IT, and electronic learning resources, ensuring students have seamless access to the information they need to succeed. In addition, you will work closely with students to identify their specific learning needs and provide personalised support aligned with discipline curriculum objectives. Through consultations, workshops, and resource provision, you will empower learners to enhance their skills, research effectively, and achieve their goals.
This role is full time on campus.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Cultivating an online information resource environment and providing support to students in a Learning Hub both online and on campus.
  • Manage a comprehensive range of print, IT, and electronic multimedia resources, such as e-books, databases, journals, textbooks and reference materials.
  • Deliver consultations, workshops, and resource provision, empowering learners to enhance their skills, research effectively, and achieve their academic goals.
  • Collaborate with staff to assess and acquire new learning resources based on user needs and emerging trends.
  • Monitoring attendance and identifying at-risk students through collaboration with Course Coordinators on campus.
  • Collaborate with the Student and Academic Services Coordinator to develop and implement social activities and initiatives that enhance the student experience.
  • Assist students at academic risk within the intervention frameworks including assisting individual students, in consultations, with academic and discipline skill development, language enhancement and assessments.
  • Ensuring compliance with information management policies and procedures, copyright laws, licensing agreements, intellectual property rights and industry regulatory environment including ESOS Act, National Code, and any other regulatory frameworks that may apply.
Our ideal candidate can demonstrate the following essential criteria:
  • Experience in the provision of language and learning support including assessing learning needs and writing skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and facilitation of study skills workshops.
  • Knowledge of information literacy principles and ability to instruct others in research techniques and citation practices.
  • Familiarity with online learning resource management systems, digital cataloguing, and database management
  • Strong computer skills, including knowledge of software applications, internet research techniques, and troubleshooting basic technical issues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse and inclusive environment.
  • Ability to work autonomously and experience in supervising student initiatives and activities.

  • A qualification in Library and Information Science or a related field.
  • Previous experience working in a library or educational environment.
