Loader/Excavator Operator – (Glass Recycling Industry)

Wastetrans WA is seeking a skilled and dependable Loader/Excavator Operator to join our team and play a crucial role in our plant operations.
Job Description:
As a Loader/Excavator Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to feed raw glass materials into crushers, move processed materials, and ensure efficient plant operations. You will work closely with a small plant team to maintain safe and efficient production.
Responsibilities:

• Operate a loader and excavator to transport glass materials throughout the plant.
• Load and unload glass into crushing machinery.
• Monitor machinery and conveyors for smooth, consistent operation.
• Conduct daily inspections and routine maintenance of equipment to ensure safety and longevity.
• Follow all company and regulatory safety procedures and protocols.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to maintain a smooth workflow.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a loader/excavator operator, preferably in an industrial or plant setting.
• Crushing experience advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
• Strong attention to detail, with an ability to spot potential equipment or safety issues.
• Loader and Excavator Tickets.
• Commitment to safe operation of equipment including pre start checks and routine maintenance of plant and equipment.
