Maintenance Officer

The Maintenance Officer is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of all gym facilities by prioritizing safety regulations, overseeing maintenance activities, and collaborating with staff and management. This role demands a proactive and meticulous approach to maintaining gym equipment and facilities, adhering to safety protocols, and fostering a culture of safety.
Our Idea Candidate
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in facilities maintenance is required
- Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) regulations and the ability to implement and enforce safety standards.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe and compliant working environment.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Legal right to work without restrictions.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Current First Aid & CPR Certification (willing to obtain).
- Conduct regular safety inspections, identify potential hazards, and take prompt action to rectify safety concerns.
- Implement and enforce safety regulations and procedures to maintain a secure working environment for staff, members, and sub-contractors.
- Diagnose, assess, and resolve maintenance issues across all gym locations efficiently and effectively.
- Develop, implement, and adhere to a comprehensive maintenance schedule for equipment and facility areas.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including scheduled and completed repairs and inspections.
- Work collaboratively with staff members and management to ensure seamless operations and address maintenance concerns.
- Adapt to shifting priorities and manage maintenance needs in a dynamic work environment.
- Promote, execute, and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, sub-contractors, and consultants, to adopt safety as a culture.
- Collaborate with internal and external project teams on various initiatives as required.
