We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Manager, Global Technology Services to join our Milestone Group. This role is located in Australia (Sydney) – Hybrid .
The position will report to the Head of Global Technology Services. We are looking for a seasoned technical engineer who aspires to move towards technology management and being an effective leader for our team of IT engineers.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

Day-to-day management for the Engineering team who work within an agile operations environment
Willingness to assist the team with a hands-on approach to help push commitments over the line
Thought leadership in researching and solving engineering challenges, deliverables and resolving service requests as push further into cloud-based Platforms-as-a-Service (Paa S)
The scope will cover on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure, applications and security services/appliances
Actively think and design for the potential risk and security implications for all technology services developments and solutions
Supporting the broader team to maintain controls/audit obligations under a SOC compliance framework.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

You will be able to demonstrate success in a structured learning environment with either a graduate qualification in computer science/information technology, a series of relevant technical certifications or equivalent, relevant experience.
Exposure to technical service process standards such as ITIL and/or Agile
Experience in a Microsoft environment (Windows server, Active Directory, etc.) required
A solid working knowledge of cloud Iaa S services. AWS is essential, Azure in addition is advantageous
A demonstrable understanding of information security concepts and standards (ideally possess a cyber-security certification)
A solid background in system administration and engineering (sysadmin roles within Windows Server Linux/X OS environments)
Excitement in taking on new project challenges and driving them through to high-quality and complete conclusion
