How we’ll deliver for you
We’re delivering together
Are you motivated by getting behind the wheel of one of our iconic red trucks to deliver for customers? As our MC Truck Driver with our Townsville Mail Centre, you’ll be the face of our trusted business, at the heart of your community and connecting businesses with their customers, and communities with each other day-in, day-out. You might not be working from home, but you’ll be on the road as a staple of your community, and it doesn’t get better than that!
You’ll be
- Safely loading your truck with cages for delivery
- Completing your own daily vehicle safety check and driving a B Double Combination
- Driving our modern trucks between our operational centres from Townsville to Mackay or Cairns to do change overs (no overnight stays)
- Returning to our operational centres to unload pick-ups
- Flexible to work a rotating roster from Sunday - Saturday (shifts between 5am to 10pm - shifts starting after 6pm attract 30% loading)
About you
You’re friendly, enthusiastic and reliable, and love autonomy just as much as interacting with others and being a team player. You’re passionate about making a difference in the community.
You’ll also need to
- Hold a relevant MC vehicle license with relevant experience
- Be safety-focused and understand the importance of chain of responsibility
- Have a customer-centric mindset and effective communication skills
- You will need to meet our safe working load limit of weighing 130kgs or less
- Be prepared to provide a driving history report, undergo a pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol screening, national police checks and an MC driving assessment
- Flexibility to work overtime when required.
