The roles, responsibilities and duties of a Security Officer can be performed in many different sectors and varying roles. This Position Description outlines the general duties in line with specific role types and acts as a guide rather than a comprehensive list of tasks.
About the role:
MSS Security is looking for armed Security Officers to work at a Museum in Sydney CBD. The position is primarily responsible for providing security presence at the client site and to provide customer service to staff and visitors. Your duties will be, and not limited to:
  • Conduct foot patrols
  • Ensure property is locked and unlocked as required
  • Direct and help visitors and public to navigate around
  • Write reports in response to incidents
  • Communicate calmly and clearly with key stakeholders
  • Visitors sign in/induction and maintain key registers and issue key passes
About you:
The roles is being offered as a part time security officer within the Sydney CBD with stable roster.
We are looking for:
  • Certificate II in Security Operations and current First Aid certificate
  • Current NSW Security licence
  • Gun license and advanced first aid
  • Dedication, reliability, and a commitment to security
  • Physically fit and able to walk and stand for prolonged periods
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build rapport with approachability
  • Nice Computer literacy skills
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision and within a team environment
