Recently under new ownership, Queanbeyan Childcare Centre is a family-owned long day care provider, committed to providing high-quality early childhood education and care in a nurturing and vibrant environment. The Centre caters to 84 children, across 5 rooms. We are committed to fostering the development and well-being of children, supporting our educators, and building strong relationships with our families and the community.

Positions Available
We are seeking numerous passionate:

• Early Childhood Teachers; and
• Educators (diploma).
• Certificate III

Full-time & part-time positions available
Key Responsibilities

• Foster a safe, secure, and stimulating environment that supports learning through play
• Ability to establish and maintain strong interpersonal and respectful partnerships with children, families and colleagues
• Develop and implement age-appropriate educational programs and activities for children aged 0-5 years
• Ability and understanding of the planning cycle, observation methods, and how to effectively link these to children's learning outcomes
• Follow Service policies and procedures in providing a safe environment for children and colleagues
• Motivate, guide, lead and inspire others and colleagues in a collaborative environment
• Critically reflect and strive for continuous improvement
• Continuously engage in professional development and training in child protection
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and ethical conduct in all aspects of the role

Qualifications and Experience

• Currently have or working towards an Australian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA):
• Early Learning Teaching Qualification, preferably a Bachelor of Education in Early Childhood for our ECT role; or
• Diploma in early childhood education and care for our Diploma role
• Certificate III in childhood education
• Excellent communication and interpersonal and relationship building skills
• Strong written communication skills, including proficiency in documenting and reporting
• Positive attitude and confident leadership capabilities
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
• Ability to work on a rotating roster, changing fortnightly
• Knowledge of Kinder M8 is desirable

Pre-Employment Checks

• Offers of employment will be subject to the following pre-employment checks:
• Two recent work-based references
• Valid Working with Children Check (NSW)
• Current First Aid Certificate, including CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma certifications
• National Police Check
• Working Rights Check

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $23.23 – $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 37.5 per week
