Quality Manager, Coronial and Public Health Sciences

Extract, interpret and report relevant quality system key performance indicators and maintain competency in relevant quality management software such as QIS2 and Riskman.
Identify and proactively manage CPHS organisational risks and provide consultative advice to service line management on risk minimisation strategies.
Effectively lead and manage staff reporting to the position, including support, mentoring, application of relevant HR policies, performance appraisal and development, and associated administrative management and financial functions.

- High level working knowledge of scientific and laboratory practice.
- Knowledge, or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of, coronial and public and public health functions.
- Expert knowledge and understanding of the legislation, regulations, and standards as they apply to a multi-disciplinary organisation.
- Proven ability to lead an organisational quality management system and provide high level authoritative counsel to executive management in relation to organisational compliance.
- Advanced negotiation, consultation, communication, and interpersonal skills to build and develop stakeholder relationships and lead the organisational quality, learning and client focussed culture.
- High level organisational skills, with ability to plan, coordinate and prioritise tasks to achieve outcomes.
- Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop others and build a positive workplace culture.
- Mandatory possession of a tertiary qualification (or equivalent) in Science. Evidence will be required from shortlisted candidates.
- While not mandatory, a relevant qualification in quality systems, risk management or HR management would be well regarded.

- Travel between PQ locations to support organisational activities such as audits may be required.
- It will be a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against one or more of the following vaccine preventable diseases during their employment: Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Pertussis, Rubella and Varicella.
- Additional vaccinations including Japanese Encephalitis and Rabies may also be required for this position.
