As an automation Specialist, you'll be responsible to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the automated systems within the warehouse, including Carton Erectors, Auto Store, Conveyors. This involves conducting startup checks, troubleshooting issues diagnosing 1str line response and associated ticketing as well as manual intervention where authorized , and working with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to ensure the smooth operation of all automated equipment. In a fast-paced environment, where every day is different, you'll have the autonomy to make decisions and be able to continually grow professionally.
- Conduct regular safety checks and maintain safety logs for all automation equipment.
- Logging issues to identify patterns of breakdowns on the site as well as identification of defective parts or part wearing before allocated time
- Monitor automation systems throughout the day to identify and resolve any potential issues before they impact operations.
- Responsible for all Inventory control and management of all spare parts onsite inclusive of cycle counting and work with the maintenance team to ensure parts are available and repairs are conducted efficiently.
- Ensure automation testing and process standards are met and use best practices that align wit project objectives
- Analyze and interpret the data to understand opportunities for automation improvement
- Fault investigation and working with external and internal contractors/suppliers for resolution.
- Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution prior to raising issues with our in-house maintenance team.
- Desirable associate’s degree in engineering, automation, or a related field
- 3+ years' experience working in an automated warehouse and systems
- Strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to maintaining operational continuity.
- Experience working in a project environment and liaising with multiple parties
- Experience working with Automation systems and unit automation picking.
