An opportunity is now available for a Reinsurance Assistant to join our Sydney team in a permanent, full-time position.

The key responsibilities include:

• Prepare applications for recoveries from the government medical indemnity insurance schemes through Services Australia.
• Quarterly analysis of reports to determine reinsurance recoveries.
• Quarterly analysis of AIL bordereau to determine which matters require reporting to external reinsurers.
• Preparation of Claims Transaction Reports.
• Quality assurance check for all information received from the Claims Department.
• Manage and monitor unclaimed recoveries.
• Maintain records and respond to s38 queries.
• Provide timely and thorough responses to requests for information in accordance with Services Australia deadline.
• Manage the process of receipt recoveries.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Medico-legal secretarial experience or knowledge of medical and legal terminology advantageous or;
• Personal injury claims management experience
• Bookkeeping/accounting experience
• Proficient Microsoft Excel skills essential
• Must have strong organisational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines
