Retail Customer Service Officer

About the opportunity
Role Details:
- Pay rate has just increased, you'll commence on $33.66 / hour for the first 3 months, then increases to $35.98/ hour (junior rates apply for those under 21 for the first 3 months), + 12% Superannuation
- Our relief team members will be allocated shifts at multiple Post Offices within a geographical location, a willingness to work at multiple locations is a requirement of this position. This role will be based at Cleveland, you will also be rostered to work at Bulimba, Cannon Hill, Capalaba and Wynnum. You may also be asked to help out at Beenleigh, Carindale, Loganholme and Springwood.
- On the job (paid) part time training for 8 weeks, 4 hours / day, Monday to Friday, between 8:45 AM - 5:06 PM.
- After training, you will be rostered a mix of scheduled and unscheduled shifts, between Monday to Friday, 8:45 AM - 5:06 PM, occasional Saturday mornings may become available, flexibility is required.
You'll be:
- Performing customer sales and service transactions with customers
- Managing high value transactions accurately (handling and processing cash, cheques, credit cards and EFTPOS)
- Conducting and processing a number of identity services transactions, including Australian Passport Interviews
- Promoting our products and services through up-selling and cross-selling, merchandising and other promotional activities
- Assisting customers with mail lodgements and associate costs
- Building rewarding relationships with customers by understanding their needs
- Assisting with administrative duties such as stocktaking and record maintenance
About you
- Have experience in customer service and/or cash handling
- Be fit to lift up to 16kgs of mail regularly and stand for your shift
