Retail Key Account Manager

As our Retail Account manager, you'll play a key role in driving Sum Up's Sales Strategy across the Australia markets. You'll manage and develop our retail channels, strategy, promotions and product development. Sum Up Australia is looking for a retail leader to manage several Strategic Accounts across retail channels in Australia. This role will lead a retail strategy focused on the retention and growth of Sum Up's multiple retail channels and will serve as a senior contact for the Managing Director.
What you'll do:
- Develop, grow and lead all retail channel relationships across Australia.
- Understand retail space planning, in-store execution and promotional planning
- Build, lead and nurture current retail channels and build new channels of distribution
- Define and implement key strategic initiatives to accelerate growth while improving efficiency
- Analyse, structuring and optimisation tools, internal processes and the productivity retail channels
- Collaborate with the customer service and onboarding team to ensure smooth onboarding of newly acquired merchants and retention of existing merchants.
- Product strategy creation for existing and new hardware for merchant base.
- Define, create value opportunity for Added Value Services (VAS)
- Keep competition at bay via outstanding retail marketing activations, promotion, and critical account management
- Manage 3rd party distributor for all retail channels
- Secure operation excellence (Marketing POs, Forecast and Logistics)
- Improve Trade marketing coordination/efficiency through retail channels
You'll be great for this position if:
- 7+ years total experience in Business Development, Sales or Account Management
- 3+ years experience directly managing metrics-driven customer-facing teams within a high-growth technology company.
- Experience identifying opportunities and independently developing plans of action within retail channels
- You have a Commercial background and Leadership experience, and navigating through change in large sales organisations
- You have experience in SMEs related industries such as payments, hospitality, travel, etc
- You have great analytical skills and strong business acumen.
- You're self-driven, proactive, pragmatic and have a can-do attitude.
- Experience working cross-functionally with product teams to serve as the voice of the customer
- Experience serving as a direct senior escalation point for customers to diffuse challenges and identify mutual wins
- You enjoy solving complex problems, taking a broad and long-term perspective to identify solutions
