Busy old-fashioned country pub located in Cloncurry, 1 hour west of Mount Isa. It is the popular Pub in town looking for an experience retail manager to run the bottle shop.
Cloncurry town is thriving with resource industry workers as well as great locals. Under new ownership and is undergoing fantastic changes to create a fantastic pub to drink, dine and have fun!!
We are a venue with a positive culture looking for a full time Retail Manager to join our family
Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage store operations to ensure excellence in customer service and store standards.
• Provide regular training for staff on customer service, product knowledge, and store procedures.
• Rostering all the employees with their shifts according to their availabilities.
• Stock management, merchandise rotation and to eliminate eliminating the products that are out of date in the store
• Build strong relationships with suppliers by maintaining open communication, negotiating favourable terms, and discussing expectations for delivery and quality.
• Implemented all the merchandising strategies to maximize sales
• Advertise all the products and special offers on the social media apps like Facebook and local community pages for the better reach to the customers.
• Preparing all the promotional materials gives by vendors and sales representatives and maintaining the special displays for the promotional items in the store.
• Undertaking all the financial transactions, reconciliations and Cashing Up, TAB, Keno and pokies (Gaming CCU).
• Provide excellent customer service and handle complaints if any
• Training the new employees about the job roles and responsibilities and make sure they do the work in a right way.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in retail management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

The successful candidate will be required to work well with the colleague managing the hotel accommodation and pub and restaurant division and create an overall promotional strategies across the venue.
Strong Leadership skills and able to manage and direct Staff and train/troubleshoot when required. Any retail management experience would be an advantage.
