About the Project
The Midland Station Cale Street Project is being delivered by The Midland Junction Alliance (MJA), comprising of Public Transport Authority of Western Australia, Mc Connell Dowell, Georgiou Group, BG&E and Arcadis. With Mc Connell Dowell as the principal contractor, the Midland Station is a design and construct project, which will be built in multiple complex stages to facilitate delivery and include the commissioning and interconnection of existing freight and passenger rail line networks and Final Asset Acceptance (FAA) of the works.

An opportunity has become available for Site Supervisor - Buildings to join our Midland Junction Alliance team and become an integral part of this iconic project.

Tasks include but not limited to:

• Provide input into the site logistic plan including site amenities, housing, entry/exit traffic management, cranage, hoisting, security, and waste management.
• Assist in the overall project management by constant review of construction methods and site performance and coordination of trade contractors against planned activities and programmes.
• Add input into the look ahead programme including procurement schedules and communicate with the project team and subcontractors.
• Ensure that subcontractors complete their work in accordance with the scope of work and programme provided by the Project Manager.
• Perform regular inspections on subcontractors work ensuring the work conforms to the specification, drawings and QA check sheets.
• Coordinate storage of MJA and subcontractors goods and materials.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with the WHS Act, AHS Regulations, EPA Act and all Codes of Practice. Promote total job safety and environmental awareness by employees, subcontractors and all persons in the job vicinity and ensure that safe and environmentally acceptable working methods and practices are implemented.

Successful candidate will have:

• Trade qualification relevant to the position.
• Proven experience in fit-out finishes in a commercial construction environment.
• Ability to read technical construction drawings and a hands-on understanding of structures, steel, façade, building services etc
• Effective communication and negotiation skills to promote the MJA’s brand and its vision to both clients and staff.
