Within Retail Technology, you'll be joining our Credit Cards Crew and Consumer Finance Domain. The Credit Cards Crew has end-to-end responsibility for the Commonwealth Bank Credit Cards business. Our squads look after the development of the credit card products, acquisition, the growth of our portfolio, our loyalty program and end-to-end process improvement.

We're looking for 2 Staff Quality Engineers to join our Crew, driving global best practice quality engineering, further embedding "prevention over detection" strategies, encouraging a critical thinking mindset and coaching our engineers, as our Shift Left advocate.

Using your expertise in software engineering, Dev Op and quality engineering, you'll take our automation testing and test data management to the next level. As a technical leader you'll advise and influence strategic planning, own proof of concept (Po C) on new technologies & tooling and lead the execution of test automation initiatives.

We support our people with the flexibility to balance where work is done with at least half your time each month connecting in office. We also have many other flexible working options available including changing start and finish times, part-time arrangements and job share to name a few.

We're interested in hearing from people who:

• Come from a full cycle engineering environment with a true passion for driving quality engineering throughout the software lifecycle
• Are adept senior technical experts in Quality Engineering, digital application and system design across a large enterprise
• Show confidence in conducting automated testing of software products, including analysing test results to identify patterns and trends
• Work closely with squads to lead them through the journey of quality engineering, Dev Sec Ops and full cycle engineering best practices

Technical Skills:

We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don't expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these will set you up for success in this team:

• C# .Net (Desirable), Java, Python, Java Script
• Deep understanding of quality engineering, tools and methodologies
• Dev Ops, CI/CD implementation - Git Hub, and Team City
• Web services, REST/SOAP/XML and API/Service based testing using tools such as POSTMAN and Blazemeter
• Cloud - AWS preferred
• Experience with ephemeral concepts and implementations (Containers/Dockers etc.)
