The Tasman is a unique combination of Modern Contemporary, Art Deco and Heritage architecture. Presenting 152 luxuriously appointed guest rooms and suites with carefully restored features and adorned with exclusive art pieces from local artists, The Tasman reflects the true spirit of the destination.
The Opportunity
We are now inviting applications for committed and reliable Steward/Kitchen Hand's (Back of House) to join our hotel in a Casual role. Our ideal candidate is someone who is working in a similar role and has been responsible for washing dishes, china ware, flatware, cutlery, crockery, kitchen machinery, sweeping, mopping floors, cleaning and detailing equipment etc. This is a hands-on role and you will ensure the kitchen is clean, well maintained and organised at all times, whilst adhering to work, health, safety and sanitation policies and procedures.

About You
- Experience working in a similar Steward/Kitchen Hand position (hotel or hospitality environment preferred)
- Take work, health and safety seriously and uphold hygienic standards and practices - always
- Passion for hospitality and supporting our entire Culinary and Food and Beverage team
- Good communications skills
- Strong attention to detail and highly organised (able to manage multiple priorities)
- Collaborative and willing to help where and when required
- Collaborative in your approach and able to build trusted working relationships
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 14kgs without assistance. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.
- Willing to be flexible is essential as shifts will include days, evenings, weekends and public holidays - this is a casual position, hence flexibility is critical
- Full working rights in Australia is essential
