In partnership with the Australian Defence Force and supporting our Defence Maintenance Contract (DMC), Ventia are currently seeking a Storeperson at Bandiana Defence Base. This is a full-time, permanent role paying $30.19 per hour.

Duties include:

Unloading goods and checking them against order forms.
Catalogue or label items with storage details.
Place goods in bins and on racks, or stack bulky items on floors.
Complete orders by selecting goods from shelves and checking them off appropriate lists.
Package and send out completed orders to customers.
Move heavy packages using forklift machinery.
Obtain details of the location and quantity of items in stock, using visual display units or computers.
Enter details of received delivery slips, requisitions, and invoices into computers.

Skills and Experience:

Demonstrated experience in a warehousing/stores environment
Forklift license essential
Driver’s License essential.
Medium Rigid License desirable.
Good communication, problem solving, writing and analysis skills.
Well-developed computer skills in Microsoft and Defence systems desirable.

You must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to maintain a Defence clearance in order to be eligible for these positions, as well as be able to pass an Australian Federal Police Check and Medical Pre-Employment Checks as required by the contract.
