About the Position
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Team Leader Security Systems to join our Community Safety team. If you are passionate about security systems and would like to play a crucial role in supporting community safety, we would love to hear from you!
This position is responsible for installing, maintaining and monitoring security systems for the City, providing both technical advice and practical support to the team. We are looking for a Team Leader who will take a proactive approach to learning and staying up to date with the latest technologies, industry trends, best practices and relevant legislation.
You will also be responsible for providing leadership and coaching to team members, encouraging and motivating them to achieve a high standard of service.
Key Responsibilities
The duties of the Team Leader Security Systems will include but are not limited to:
- Provide leadership, coaching, feedback and performance management to ensure team members meet the required outcomes of their role.
- Installation of security systems including CCTV, alarm systems, GPS, Body-Worn Cameras and more.
- Maintain, monitor, audit and upgrade the City’s security systems, ensuring they continue to perform to a high standard.
- Coordinate training of CCTV operators associated with the City’s live CCTV monitoring and dispatch programs.
- Provide WA Police and City management with reports and CCTV footage as required showing incidents of crime and other activity.
- Management of the service area documentation and data use and storage, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.

- Qualification in relevant field of study e.g. Cert III in Security Equipment
- WA Security Consultant Licence
- Proven experience in a similar role, including project management and leadership
- Experience with installation and management of corporate security systems and equipment
- Knowledge of modern cyber security practices and systems
- Highly-developed customer service and communication skills

To be eligible to work for us, you need to provide, or have ability obtain a:
- A copy of Australian driving licence
- National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months)
- Pre-Employment Medical and DAS clearance
- The right to work in Australia
