About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Accountant to join our Administration team based at our Head Office in Yatala. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for an aspiring accountant who has recently completed studies in accounting. As a Trainee Accountant, you will gain practical experience in a supportive environment with exposure across a wide range of areas of the business.
You will be assisting in the following areas:
- Bank reconciliations
- Maintaining and updating truck schedule for settlements
- Reconciling floorplan accounts
- Maintaining asset registers
- Assisting with wage processing and posting journals to DMS
- Assisting with month end management reporting
- Monthly reconciliation for various G/L accounts
- Reviewing creditors to ensure Company guidelines are followed
- Reviewing branch cash accounts and bank locations to ensure they are within Company guidelines
- Ad hoc data analysis
- Maintaining Web Expense users
- Assisting with account/admin queries from branches
What you need to have:
- Bachelor of Business majoring in Accounting or Bachelor of Accounting
- Customer-focus, self-motivation and enthusiasiam
- Excellent attentional to detail, communication and organisational skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Effective time management skills
- Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Able to multitask
