Jando Tutoring is a dynamic tutoring service dedicated to providing personalised online and in-person educational support for primary, high school, and tertiary students. Our mission is to empower students through tailored resources, one-on-one sessions, and group classes aligned with the NSW syllabus. We are looking for passionate and skilled tutors to join our team!
Job Description:
As a Tutor at Jando Tutoring, you will play a crucial role in enhancing students' understanding and performance across various subjects. You will work with students individually or in group settings, providing guidance, resources, and support tailored to their specific learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct engaging and interactive tutoring sessions online and, when needed, in person.
- Develop customised lesson plans and resources that align with the NSW syllabus for primary and high school subjects.
- Assess students' learning needs and provide targeted support in areas such as writing, problem-solving, and exam preparation.
- Utilise quizzes and practice tests to track student progress and reinforce learning.
- Provide timely feedback on assignments and assessments to help students improve their skills.
- Communicate effectively with students and their families to discuss progress and address any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
- Collaborate with other tutors and the Jando Tutoring team to share best practices and improve our services.
- A valid Working with Children's Check will be required.
- Relevant teaching or tutoring experience, preferably in primary or secondary education (Not required).
- Understanding of the NSW syllabus and curriculum requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Proficient in using online tutoring platforms and educational technology.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Pay: $29.33 – $59.28 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 10 per week
