Discovery Scientist, in vivo Pharmacology

Solgate is seeking to hire a motivated and creative Discovery Scientist in in vivo pharmacology to join our fast-growing interdisciplinary research team. Together, we are developing novel small molecule therapeutics that modulate the functions of membrane transporters. Role and Responsibilities
- Lead, execute and analyse in vivo preclinical research and biomarker discovery activities
- Conduct or supervise in vivo and ex vivo studies to evaluate and establish efficacy, PK/PD relationship, combination strategy, biomarker identification and analysis.
- Design quantitative experiments with rigorous attention to parameters to support robust scientific conclusions
- Engage in multidisciplinary research projects and closely collaborate with Solgate team members to progress strategic goals, acting as the in vivo subject matter expert in project team meetings
- Coordinate and implement the appropriate infrastructure to enable the execution of projects, including experimental and analytical needs
- Organize, summarize and deliver data, in written and oral presentations
- Contribute to documentation, laboratory infrastructure management, and coordination with CROs
Qualifications
- Ph D degree in biology, pharmacology, or other relevant field is required with at least 2 years of experience in in vivo pharmacology or murine studies in a biotech/pharma setting.
- Applicants with a Masters degree and at least 4 years of relevant industry experience will also be considered
- Proactive, efficient team player who is able to work both independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Experience in project leadership demonstrated by creative problem solving and excellent planning and analytical skills
- Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required.

We can offer you market-rate gross monthly remuneration of 4458€. The actual remuneration package will be guided by your professional experience and your qualifications, with readiness to pay in excess of collectively agreed amount.
