Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and energetic Managing Director, who would love to grow with Rosewood.

Job Summary:

Responsible for the smooth operation and strategic direction of the hotel
Leader for Developing and implementing business strategies to achieve financial and operational goals
Ensuring the highest standards in guest satisfaction, service quality, and luxury experience
Leading and motivating the management team and driving staff development
Building and maintaining relationships with VIP guests, partners, and stakeholders
Budget and financial oversight, including revenue forecasts, cost control, and profitability analyses
Monitoring compliance with company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards
Initiating and leading projects aimed at continuous optimization and further development of the hotel
Maximises food and beverage revenues by ensuring optimal use of banquet / outlet space and most cost-effective management of the hotel's food and beverage outlets
Works closely with corporate team and ensures optimum staffing levels relative to volume and productivity levels in all areas of the hotel. Maximises training initiatives and plans to drive efficiencies and enhance operating and service performance of the hotel.
Provides regular and adhoc information and status reports to corporate team as requested on the financial and operational performance of the hotel against plan.
Acts as mentor to hotel management team, responsibility for their professional development and career progression by implementing Professional Appraisal Plans and monitoring individual performance through both informal / formal process
Develops and updates local hotel policies, (in alignment with corporate policies) and manuals (in alignment with corporate manuals) for implementation in the hotel to ensure consistency and compliance across the property.

Required Skills:

Several years of leadership experience in a comparable position within the luxury hospitality industry
Deep understanding of market trends in the hospitality industry and our high-end guests
Strong management and leadership skills with a collaborative and results-oriented spirit
Extensive financial knowledge, especially in financial management and budgeting
Excellent communication skills in both English and German (additional languages are a plus)
High resilience, flexibility, and a strong sense of responsibility
Passion for delivering exceptional guest service with a keen eye for luxury and quality
Experience working with international and demanding guests
