This position reports to

Head of Sourcing Electronics

Your role and responsibilities

• Ensuring cost optimization for the main product groups/categories for which you are responsible (e.g. taking into account consideration of total costs of ownership, turnover rates, delivery performance) • Carrying out professional supplier management (search, selection, classification, further development, implementation and risk assessment) • Proactive market observation and analysis as well as escalation management • Interface with R&D and the procurement market to evaluate new technologies and products • Leading complex contract negotiations and professional contract management • Risk and strategy management for the main product groups/categories for which you are responsible • Data analysis, controlling and reporting • Strategic cooperation with global ABB category teams for electronic components

Qualifications for the role

Completed commercial and technical training (e.g. industrial engineering)
Several years of relevant professional experience in international purchasing
Market knowledge and experience in the field of embedded Products or EMS Services desired
Confident handling of MS Office applications, experience with SAP module MM an advantage
Very good knowledge of German and English
Diplomatic and assertive personality with strong negotiating skills
