Position Summary:
The BMS Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful planning, execution, and completion of BMS (Building Management System) projects across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and other domains. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of BMS, PLC, SCADA systems, and field devices, along with advanced project management skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end management of BMS projects, ensuring timely delivery within the allocated budget and quality standards.
- Coordinate and manage teams for the installation and integration of BMS, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems.
- Oversee project design reviews, ensuring alignment with technical specifications and client expectations.
- Apply advanced knowledge of BMS, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems to streamline project execution.
- Manage the development and testing of BMS software programs and graphical user interfaces (GUIs).
- Supervise and ensure the proper selection and installation of field devices such as sensors and actuators.
- Prepare and review project documentation, including Method Statements, System Architecture diagrams, Control Schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications during project execution.
- Conduct regular site inspections, monitoring installation progress, and resolving any onsite issues.
- Manage project resources, timelines, and budgets, including conducting quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and analysis to facilitate accurate project planning.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining clear and proactive communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Facilitate seamless collaboration with subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure project milestones are met.
- Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure proactive problem-solving to overcome challenges.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in leading teams across HVAC, MEP, and ELV systems in large-scale projects.
- Certification in PMP or equivalent project management methodologies is highly desirable.
