Generation Z, Internet Protocol Network Trainee

Participate in designing, implementing and the operations of Zain Bahrain's IP network that is mission critical for Zain Bahrain to deliver its services for its customers.
Main Responsibilities
-
Participate in the design, implementation, testing, operation and maintenance Zain Bahrain IP network.
-
Work in a team environment with shared responsibilities for new projects assigned to the IP Networks team.
-
Liaise with other Technology, Business and Marketing teams to assist in the design, delivery and operations of new products and solutions.
-
Manage the relationship with vendors and service providers engaged to provide networking products, services or support as required.
-
Analyze statistics, logs and alarms from network monitoring systems to maintain network health and take preventive and corrective actions as appropriate.
-
Assist the IP Networks senior Engineers in network capacity forecasts and planning of upgrades.
-
Automate repetitive tasks where appropriate using scripting techniques.
-
Research and keep abreast on new technologies.

Assist in the upkeep of proper documentation.
-
Work on various tools and technologies related to ISP and IP network systems.
-
Work on Internal LAN and WAN networks.
-
Work on various security platforms such as firewalls, VPN, IPS, Proxy, etc.
-
Carry out the above duties outside office hours where deemed necessary.

Carry out the above duties with security-in-mind.

Perform any other related duties as assigned or needed.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Communication Engineering, or any relevant field.

Fresh university graduate, or up to 2 years of experience in similar role in Telecom field.
-
Comp TIA Network+, CCNP Routing & Switching, CCNA or any relevant certification is a plus.
Skills and Knowledge
-
Understanding in L2, L3 Networks.
-
Knowledge in networking concepts (routing, switching, security, etc.).
-
Knowledge in firewall, VPN and proxy policies.
-
Knowledge in IPv4 and IPv6.
-
Excellent organizational, communication and troubleshooting skills.
