We’re searching for a dynamic and experienced Business Controller to join Mobilexpense and act as key financial advisor, partnering with business units to analyze performance, control costs, and drive data-driven decisions.

At Mobilexpense, you’ll report straight into our Head of Business Control and Accounting, and collaborate closely with the Management team, as well as with the entire organization. What will you do?

Budgeting and Forecasting

Build annual budgets and rolling forecasts, ensuring alignment with company objectives and providing explanations of budget variances monthly

Coordinate and manage budget owners' inputs during forecasts and financial reviews

Support the elaboration of the group strategy and vision (highlight risks, opportunities, and corrective actions)

Business Controlling

Carefully analyze the terms of commercial deals, including pricing, revenue components, payment terms, discounts and any special agreements that impact sales commissions

Work with legal team to ensure deal complies with contractual obligations that impact both invoicing and sales commission

Monitor sales bookings and their impact on recurring revenue development

Ad-hock analysis to strive business decisions (eg. FTE reporting and its related costs)

Support and represent finance in projects, including product & process related projects

Build and develop robust internal stakeholder relationships

You will strive to optimize processes and avoid duplicating work

Cost Controlling

Provide in-depth analysis on key cost drivers, financial KPI’s and recommendations

Manage monthly financial closing process, ensuring P&L accuracy, cost allocations across Group entities and meet financial reporting deadlines

Reconcile accounts and validate cost accruals, deferrals and expense reports provided by accountants. Follow up on capex, direct and indirect costs

Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and clarifications

About You:

Education: Master’s degree in an Accounting, Finance or an Economics orientation

Experience: 3-5 years working experience as Business Controller or management consulting/auditor in a Big 4 environment or another relevant domain. You have a strong affinity with IT and software.

Attitude: You can work accurately, and you have an analytical mind-set. You are proactive and communicate effectively.

️ Tools: strong IT skills, strong experience in Excel, with excellent knowledge of formulas, charts and pivot tables.

️ Communication: You work well with others, inside the finance department and across the business

Language Skills: You are fluent in English. Knowledge of French or Dutch is a plus.
