As a Director Security & Compliance, your main responsibilities include maintaining a highly secure environment for our Hub, ensuring compliance with national and international laws. You will lead and oversee projects aimed at improving security measures and provide guidance to a team of managers responsible for Security Operations, Compliance, and Aviation Security. Additionally, you will lead the compliance team and contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that align with legal requirements, business needs, industry best practices, and current legislation in the H&G BE region.
Your responsibilities?
Security:
- Lead the security organization across various areas, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards.
- Stay updated on security risks and take necessary actions to minimize exposure, security incidents and losses.
- Safeguard business continuity and connectivity.
- Act as a proactive partner for our operations organization enabling the hub to improve key KPIs and get ready for a (security) future proof and operationally optimal environment.
Compliance:
- Lead the Compliance team and develop strategic plans for business continuity and growth.
- Build and manage internal and external customer/stakeholder relationships, providing regulatory compliance advice and workable solutions.
- Conduct risk assessments, compliance reviews/audits, and stay updated on compliance trends.
- Support implementation of new legal requirements and deliver compliance training fit to our operational reality and needs.
- Timely report compliance and risk management risks to local management including alternatives to mitigate within our daily environment.
Your profile?
- At least 5 years experience in a Security and/or Compliance Management Function
- Advanced knowledge of Belgian and European Aviation Security Compliance & Operations as well as general Compliance for H&G within DHL, is a must
- A Master Degree or equivalent through experience
- A degree in Criminology Sciences is an advantage.
- You have extensive and successful experience in people management.
- You excel in stakeholder-management at local, European and global level.
- You are fluent in Dutch and English (French/German is an advantage).
