ABOUT THE POSITION
The ideal candidate for this position has experience as a Director of Finance or extensive experience as Assistant Director of Finance position, and is fluent in French (or Dutch) and English. Ideally the candidate has prior experience in leading a renovation/conversion. You will be the property’s strategic financial business leader. You will champion, develop and implement property-wide strategies that deliver products and services to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brand’s target customer and property employees. You will provide the financial expertise to enable the successful implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives while maximizing the return on investment. In addition, you will have the opportunity to create and execute a business plan that is aligned with the property and brand’s business strategy and focus on the execution of financial and accounting activities and the delivery of desirable financial results.

This is what your day looks like:
- Management of the finance department as well as purchasing taking into account internal (standard operating procedures) and external guidelines (company policies)
- Preparing and reconciling payroll related balance sheet accounts
- Generating and/or monitoring of the monthly financial statements and review of the balance sheet accounts
- Creation of forecasts/budgets, analyses & reports
- The achievement of economic goals is just as much a part of your portfolio of tasks as the corresponding reporting to the management team and the owners
- Review of event / service / service contracts Control of business processes within the hotel
- Direct contact person of the management, as well as the legal / insurance department in all operational questions
- Graduation as an accountant is an advantage
- Several years of experience in hotel accounting is required
- Result-oriented, structured work
- Computer skills in Opera, MS Office (especially Excel)
- Very good knowledge of accounting according to Uniform Systems of Accounts (USALI) & HGB
- Fluent in English & French or and/or Dutch (spoken and written)
- Flexibility, commitment and resilience
