Position Overview:
Basic GS is seeking an experienced HSE Supervisor for an onsite role at the INEOS Project One site. The successful candidate will bring experience in construction and large-scale projects, particularly in scaffolding operations.
The HSE Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance across all scaffolding activities, ensuring safe work practices, and managing risks associated with complex construction environments.
Key Responsibilities:

• HSE Compliance and Leadership:
• Lead HSE activities on-site, ensuring compliance with all local and project-specific HSE regulations and policies.
• Promote a proactive safety culture, engaging all levels of the team to minimize risk and ensure safety-first operations.
• Conduct regular safety meetings, toolbox talks, and ensure participation from all on-site personnel.
• Risk Assessment and Incident Management:
• Perform and document risk assessments for scaffolding activities, identifying and mitigating potential hazards.
• Oversee incident investigation processes, ensuring root cause analysis is completed, corrective actions are implemented, and lessons learned are communicated.
• Lead on-site inspections and audits, reporting findings and coordinating corrective actions.
• Training and Development:
• Provide HSE training to scaffolding teams, including orientation for new hires and ongoing HSE education for all personnel.
• Ensure workers are aware of and adhere to safety protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain up-to-date HSE documentation, including permits, incident logs, risk assessments, and compliance records.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports to the Project Manager and relevant stakeholders.
• Coordination and Communication:
• Collaborate with project management, scaffolding teams, and client representatives to support safe, efficient project operations.
• Act as the HSE representative in client and contractor meetings, providing insights and updates on safety performance.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of HSE experience in construction, with a focus on large-scale projects and scaffolding.
• Certifications: Recognized HSE qualification (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH, Prevention Advisor) and relevant scaffolding or construction safety certification.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of HSE regulations and best practices for construction and scaffolding environments.
• Skills: Excellent communication, risk management, and incident investigation skills.

Pay: €60,00 per hour
Expected hours: 48 per week
