Are you the one joining our FAB business unit as a Dry Etch Process Engineer?

• Drive the etch process development in several projects.
• Guide and comprehend the interactions between the etch and other process steps.
• Exploring etch process or integration flow boundaries, to help define gaps and possible solutions
• Bringing critical etch processes to the required maturity to enable technology transfer
• Thinking ahead and participating in the definition of the Fab Engineering roadmap
• Being and acting as Dry Etch and/or Strip Tool Owner including Safety, Quality, Cycle Time, Cost, SPC and Sustainability
• You are willing to work in an early-late regime with one weekend out of four.

Who you are

• You obtained a Master’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, (Industrial) Engineering in Electronics or equal by experience and display strong engineering skills and mindset.
• Ideally you have >5 years of experience in process engineering; but young graduates are encouraged to apply as well.
• You like to take ownership, you are well organized, with a good attention to detail and you set high standards for quality.
• As you will work in cross functional teams, strong communication and reporting skills are required. You are a team player with a strong drive to share your experience and knowledge with colleagues. You strive to document and report your work to highest quality standards.
• You are able to adapt to changing priorities.
• You have a methodical and insightful approach to problem diagnosis and resolution.
• Given the international character of imec, fluency in English is a must.
