Role – Release Manager
Technology – Dev Ops, Cloud, Agile, Middleware
Location – Mechelen, Belgium

Responsibilities:

• Planning and Scheduling: Oversee the release lifecycle, including scheduling and coordinating releases across multiple applications and portfolios.
• Coordination: Work closely with Test Managers, Dev Managers, IT Operations to ensure smooth releases.
• Communication: Provide updates and reports to senior IT management.
• Process Improvement: Implement and manage release processes for code through development, test, and production environments.
• Release Calendar: Build and maintain the IT Release Calendar, coordinating with various IT release managers.

Accountability:

• Own and monitor release deployment process
• Own environment planning and monitor availability of non-production environments
• SDLC/CICD Release management transformation & Initiative Testing towards a Dev Ops organization
• Define and own Release roadmap and environment planning & enforce guardrails (release policies) regarding release management to guarantee an efficient and high quality release process.
• Modernize & Accelerate software release processes, by enabling autonomy of software tribes
• Assist software tribes in release planning and mitigating release risks.
• Provide release orchestration tooling to manage all software deployments efficiently.
• Stepup fit for purpose test environments and guarantee high availability.
• Facilitate release retrospectives to continuously improve release management process.
• Modernize and improve availability of non-production environments
• Release & Environment Planning, Release Coordination ,Release Deployment
• Non-production environment management and Continuous improvement

Outcomes:

• Decrease dependencies & increase TTM.
• Modern release process across the program

Required Skills:

• Strong Communication: Ability to interface with various stakeholders and provide clear updates.
• Organizational Skills: Manage multiple releases and ensure timely delivery.
• Technical Knowledge: Understanding of software development, testing, and deployment processes.
• Problem-Solving: Address and resolve issues that arise during the release process.
• Leadership: Guide and support development and operations teams.

Preferred

• 8+ years of relevant experience
• Relevant experience in the Telecom domain and Dev Ops/middleware technologies.
• Relevant experience with agile, scrum, IT Dev Ops way of working.
• Relevant experience in the Communications, Media or Technology industry is preferred.
