JOB DESCRIPTION

After an intensive training on products, biosecurity, and our farm to fork approach on animal production, you will be responsible for the sales management of all distributors in your customer portfolio. Reporting into the Sales Director Animal Benelux, you will oversee and drive growth across our distribution network and build strong and long-term relationships (value of Cid Lines) with your partners in your territory. Utilizing your expert knowledge, coupled with your influencing skills, you will seek out opportunities for growth.


What You Will Do

  • Own the commercial relationship with our distribution partners, based in the Netherlands and Belgium
  • Implement the distribution strategy, including planning and controlling, in line with the Benelux distribution strategy.
  • Managing the Sales Budget of your customer portfolio with an ambition and commitment to achieve double digit growth rates
  • Build up and maintain regular personal contacts with key stake holders at our distributor (purchasing, sales representatives, sales management, operations)
  • Contribute to all divisional or cross-functional matters (pricing, marketing, sales promotions, events, seminars, product launches,…)
  • Report sales activities according to guidelines in our CRM Dynamics and monitor sales numbers.
  • Coordinate the sales and demand forecasts with our distributors.
  • Technical support: answering on all types of technical questions related to our products and biosecurity, proposing solutions (with support of Global Animal Health Technical Support and Product Management).
  • Train the sales forces of our distributors through training sessions and field sales coaching.
  • Commercial guidance such as follow-up on pricing, orders, together with our Customer service etc.;

To Be Successful, You Will Need

  • Qualifications in business or sales, with a scientific education/background in chemistry, animal science, agriculture or economics. Minimum a bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a business related environment ideally acquired in a distributor driven sales environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, to be able to coordinate actions with customers but also with internal support functions within Cid Lines, an Ecolab Company.
  • To understand the distributor driven business model and how to grow distribution channels.
  • To speak Dutch and have an excellent knowledge of English.
  • In depth knowledge of animal production/farming with specific knowledge either species-related mainly dairy farm, but also poultry or swine or in the health- or nutritional field is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel 60% of your time in your territory.
  • Preferably based in the South of The Netherlands or the North of Belgium.
