Euro-Locks Belgium is located in Bastogne, in Belgium, and have a turnover of about €30m. We are a member of the Lowe & Fletcher Group, founded in 1889 as a lock maker in Willenhall and are a sixth generation family business. Lowe & Fletcher Ltd (L&F), designs, manufactures, assembles and distributes world-leading locking systems to a wide variety of customers within the UK, North America, the Middle East, Australasia and ROW.
The Lowe & Fletcher Group has a turnover of approximately £100m and consists of two Divisions. The Locking Systems Division (LSD), of which L&F is a part, and the Fire Safety Division. The LSD has four manufacturing businesses within Europe and one in the USA. Whilst each operation is autonomous with its own management team, there is also a high degree of co-operation and support within the Group at all levels. In addition to mechanical locks L&F has championed the development of electronic locks and is the sole supplier of these products. It is an important part of the Group supply chain and is a profitable business.

Job description
This position reports directly to the Commercial Director and is responsible for business development and the implementation of specific marketing actions to support the sales team.
The successful applicant will work daytime hours and could travel to customers and prospects both locally and abroad, depending on the geographical opportunities.
Position in the organisation
The Sales Business Developer is integrated into a team of area sales managers, inside sales representatives and reports directly to the Commercial Director.
Job’s Purpose :
- Business development
- Research and management of new customers in the ELB territory
- Market and segment analysis
- Competitive support & analyse (price, product, customers, etc.)
- Commercial support & analyse
- Statistics;
- Identifying new markets and trends;
- Active participation and involvement in the implementation of a new CRM;
- Be the link with R&D and Sales on product development and the subsequent market evaluation and commercialisation of products.
- Building and strengthening the relationship with production and quality
- Temporary secondment to a specific territory on as needed basis;
- Participation and study of international trade fairs (visits with Sales Reps);
- Preparation and implementation of specific marketing actions to support sales in close collaboration with Group Marketing;
- Organization of various sales actions with direct customers;
- Participation and involvement in the development of ELB's annual strategic plan;
- Developing and implementing ways to capture new prospecting leads that are high probability for success
- Responsible for the delivery of Marketing Campaigns and any other customer generating activities
- Organisation of tradeshows and other customer demonstrations
- Any other tasks required as role develops
Job requirements
1. Knowledge
- Degree in sales/marketing or technical orientation and/or equivalent experience (Bachelor or Master)
- A few years of similar experience appreciated
- Interest in technical components
- Excellent knowledge of the MS Office suite (Excel macros is a strong asset)
- Excellent knowledge of English and French: oral and written. Any other language will be considered an asset
- Ability to analyse, synthesize and memorize technical and commercial information
- Ability to anticipate market developments
2. Technical skills
- Technical background and/or experience will be considered a plus.
3. Communication
- Ability to communicate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent commercial skills.
