Senior AP Accountant

Barco’s finance department is well-regarded both inside and outside the company. The EMEA Finance Team is looking for a Senior AP Accountant to join the team based in Kortrijk.

Key Responsibilities
- Handle the Accounts Payable function for a set of legal entities in EMEA, including our HQ company.
- Communicate with external vendors and internal stakeholders regarding queries in the procure-to-pay process.
- Reconcile Accounts Payable balances from the subledger to the General Ledger, perform vendor aging analysis, and monitor specific vendor conditions.
- Schedule payment runs for both external and intercompany partners.
- Support the monthly closing process, including reporting on AP KPIs such as Days Payable Outstanding (DPO).
- Act as a subject matter expert in the AP domain, contributing to continuous improvement and automation of the end-to-end process.
- Collaborate with IT and other internal departments to support AP-related discussions.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 3/4 years of experience within Accounts Payable in a larger corporation.
- Fluency in English (company’s main language) with basic knowledge of Dutch.
- Excellent verbal, listening, and written communication skills.
- Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP/VIM, and good knowledge of MS Excel.
- Structured, hands-on, and proactive work style with the ability to meet deadlines.
- A collaborative team player with a can-do attitude.
