Job Description: Senior Java Backend Developer
Location: Brussels-Capital Region, Belgium
We are seeking a skilled Senior Java Backend Developer to join a dynamic team working on a critical and secure online data collection platform. This platform is used by various companies to submit important reports, handling significant volumes of data with a focus on security and efficiency.
In this role, you will contribute to maintaining and enhancing the platform, collaborating with senior developers, ensuring high-quality code, and providing technical guidance to junior team members. You will be key in driving the design, security, and performance of a system that supports thousands of data collections and plays an integral role in business operations.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance backend components using Java technologies.
• Collaborate with senior developers to design application components and ensure best practices are followed.
• Coach junior developers, providing technical mentorship and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to the design and maintenance of RESTful and SOAP endpoints.
• Deliver well-documented, tested code, ensuring security and performance standards.
• Contribute to technical documentation related to development work.

Required Skills:

• Java 8, Spring/Spring Batch, Hibernate, Spring Security.
• Experience with developing SOAP/REST endpoints and using development tools such as Intelli J, Maven, GIT, SVN, Bamboo.
• Proficiency in JAX-WS/JAX-RS, JAXB, Oracle databases, JUnit for test-driven development.
• Knowledge of OWASP and Spring Security to ensure application security.
• Experience with large volume XML file processing.
• Experience in the financial or banking sector is a plus.

Pay: Up to €450,00 per day
