Job Description: Lead Structural Engineer - Infrastructure

Duration : ASAP - 12 MONTHS
Localisation: Belgium + Europe
Mission:

• Lead and manage structural engineering projects from concept to execution, ensuring adherence to quality, budget, and timelines.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in Structural Engineering, supporting teams in technical design reviews for other department projects.
• Promote and implement BIM and parametric design methodologies across the organization.
• Coordinate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including design engineers, geotechnical engineers, and draftsmen.
• Prepare and present project proposals, offers, and contracts in consultation with the commercial team.
• Ensure projects are executed in compliance with the company's quality system and health & safety regulations.
• Provide regular project progress updates to management.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, playing an active role in their training and development.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, addressing their needs and ensuring satisfaction.
• Work collaboratively with external partners such as architects, engineering consultancies, subcontractors, and contractors during the construction phase.
• Pursue sustainable and efficient engineering solutions.
• Stay informed on industry standards, regulations, and innovations, sharing knowledge with the team.

Project Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• A minimum of 20 years of experience in structural engineering projects related to complex infrastructure (bridges, tunnels, railways, airports, etc.).
• Demonstrated experience in leading and managing engineering projects.
• Involvement in all aspects and phases of projects: sales, contracts, competition, design, studies, tenders, execution, management, etc.
• Proficient in BIM and parametric design.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Customer-focused with excellent problem-solving abilities.
• Resilient under pressure, assertive, and diplomatic.
• Fluent in Dutch; knowledge of English or French is an asset.
