Function

Job description

As Subcontractor Manager you will become part of the Project Management team. You will be involved in cutting edge projects and act as the point of contact for different contractors. You will be responsible for managing the subcontractor relations and taking appropriate actions to make sure our subcontractors deliver according to their contractual obligations. You will work in close collaboration with our technical experts and Project managers to ensure a smooth delivery of our projects.

Responsibilities

Acts as first point of contact for our subcontractors and suppliers. You will act as a gatekeeper, manage the smooth exchange of information and monitor progress in collaboration with the project team.

Together with Project Management and Technical Experts decide on make or buy decisions within our projects.

Responsible for contracting all our subcontractors or suppliers. You will take the lead in drafting contracts and conclude successful negotiations, in collaboration with our Project and Contract Managers. You will be responsible for reaching clear agreements regarding deliverables, pricing, delivery time and documentation.

Ensures a smooth delivery in collaboration with the Project Manager and Technical Teams.

In case of irregularities the Subcontractor Manager steps up and actively searches for solutions to minimize impact and risk on the project.

You will organize and chair progress meetings with external partners.

Profile

Requirements

Master’s degree (or equivalent experience) in an engineering or scientific discipline

Fluency in English.

Ability to clearly define approaches and objectives.

Good communication skills at all levels.

Experience in contract negotiations is a plus.

Knowledge and experience in project management processes and methodologies.

Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as in a team, and to deliver high quality

outputs in a timely manner.

Driven problem solver.

Preferred skills/experience/knowledge:

A love for space is considered a big plus.

Experience in negotiation and conflict management.

Knowledge of Dutch or French is an asset.

Redwire determines pay for positions using local, national, and industry-specific survey data, for our locations throughout Europe. We will evaluate external equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index, in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company.

For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth. Salaries will be based on the applicant’s level of experience, education, and specialized knowledge and skills. Additionally, we consider the external market rate,
the amount we have budgeted internally, and internal equity within the company for the same position. An employee/candidate with a stronger skill set will be considered for higher pay.
