As the leading independent provider of risk consulting services for financial services in Belgium, EY supports organizations in managing their risks, exploiting opportunities and operating effectively. Technology Risk forms part of our broader Business Consulting practice within EMEIA. Our clients seek independent advice and assurance on diverse issues including design and operation of their internal controls, security of their business-critical systems, delivery of major IT enabled programs, their relationships with third parties, and their management, stewardship, and ability to exploit business critical data. We are looking to recruit a Senior Consultant who can work directly with clients to help them understand and address risks associated with the technologies that support their business.

We are looking to recruit a Senior Consultant who can work directly with clients to help them understand and address risks associated with the technologies that support their business.
Key Responsibilities

Evaluate the company’s technology universe from a technical and business perspective, execute in-depth assessments of the IT processes, risks and controls through interviews, desktop analysis and system inspection. - Review the setup of complex systems and technology governance frameworks in line with industry leading practices (e.g. ITIL, COBIT, NIST, ISO,…).
- Contribute in providing our clients with EY supported insights and pragmatic recommendations to further improve business performance, operational efficiency and risk management.
- Be responsible for the successful end-to-end delivery of multiple engagements, motivating teams, coaching people and reporting directly to the executive level.
- Develop strong client relationships and potentially identify new business opportunities, while assisting in further development of our technology risk competencies and offerings.
Skills and Attributes for Success

You have a bachelor's or master’s degree, preferably in computer science, economics or computer engineering - You have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in IT, project management/service delivery, operational/IT risk management or consulting
- You have expertise in at least one of the following areas:
o IT Risk Management/Transformation, Operational Resilience and Third Party Risk Management
o e GRC Tooling
- You have excellent communication and solid writing skills in English, and are fluent in either Dutch or French.
- You have good people, analytical, and reporting skills with a positive, problem-solving mindset.
- You are able to work autonomously with a focus on getting things done.
- You are willing to connect with our Belgian clients on-site or remote and potentially having the opportunity to be involved in international assignments.
- Professional certifications, such as CGEIT, CISA, CISM, CISSP, COBIT, CRISC and ITIL are a plus.
- Knowledge and experience of emerging technology, Fin Tech, Cloud services and Cybersecurity are a plus.
- Serve as a fieldwork leader by directing the daily progress of fieldwork, informing supervisors of engagement status, and managing staff performance
- You are able to collaborate with other members of the engagement team to plan the engagement and develop work program timelines, risk assessments, and other planning documents. Work with the engagement team to document the business processes dependent on information technology.
- You demonstrate and apply a thorough understanding of complex information systems. Use knowledge of the current IT environment and industry IT trends to identify the engagement and client service issues and communicate this information to the engagement team and client management through written correspondence and verbal presentations. Demonstrate and apply strong project management skills, inspire teamwork and responsibility with engagement team members, and use current technology and tools to enhance the effectiveness of deliverables and services.
