VAT & Customs Manager | Olen

Your Tasks

• monitoring and safeguarding the legal and compliance status of the company's bonded warehouse. When necessary, you give advice on and resolve trade related issues. You organize and facilitate all actions required to obtain and maintain the bonded warehouse.
• preparing and monitoring the monthly VAT declaration processes by means of SAP reports and data.
• ensuring compliance for all VAT and customs related processes. You review and analyze current processes and procedures, and implement improvements.
• providing advice, support and training to the accounting, commercial and logistic departments on specific VAT and customs matters.
• staying on top of the latest developments in legislation in the areas of VAT and customs law in order to anticipate and prepare for changes.
• You report on a daily basis with the Finance Director Belgium and have extensive contacts with both internal and external customers/partners.

Your Profile

• You have a master's degree in a tax law environment or similar, combined with at least 5 years of work experience in indirect taxes. Knowledge of corporate tax is a plus.
• You have a broad knowledge of Belgian VAT and customs legislation. Knowledge of Corporate tax is a plus.
• You are a fast learner with an broad field of interest (also in technical topics) and are a real problem solver.
• You like working in team.
• You have strong communications skills (both Dutch and English) and are good in stakeholder management.
